Most fibreglass pool shell manufacturers incorporate Gelcoat Colour, Vinyl Ester Resin, and structural Polyester Resin in their pool shell construction. However, over the last 20 years, the most important innovation is corrosive-resistant Vinyl Ester Resin added to the fibreglass layer. This high-performance resin adds a protective layer that will make your pool’s surface less susceptible to osmosis. In simple terms, this special resin protects the fibreglass against the advancements of water and other chemicals that want to move through your pool layers.
